Hello and welcome to HCM,
Difficulty in conception can occur due to various reasons.
Advancing age reduces fertility, thus this factor has to be kept in mind.
Phimosis is a mechanical problem and it will not affect the production and maturation of sperms.
I suggest you to get a semen analysis and complete health check up of your wife.
A follicular scan will help to identify the period when follicles mature and about to release mature ovum.
I suggest you to consult a gynecologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.

Thanks and take care
