Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have married 7 years ago and I had one 6years old but not from me.we have been trying for 2 years but my wife is not getting pregnant. I had also phimosis. We tried every position, duration, most fertile period but nothing going right. Please help me. I have not consult doctor yet.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Difficulty in conception can occur due to various reasons. Advancing age reduces fertility, thus this factor has to be kept in mind. Phimosis is a mechanical problem and it will not affect the production and maturation of sperms. I suggest you to get a semen analysis and complete health check up of your wife. A follicular scan will help to identify the period when follicles mature and about to release mature ovum. I suggest you to consult a gynecologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
