What Causes Difficulty In Eating Food?

Hello Doctor. My brother is starving to death. He can t eat and he doesn t know why. He s been referred to several specialist over the last two to three years and no one can seem to find anything wrong. He s had lots of blood done as well as MRI s. He s been to a gastrologist and a hemotologist (not sure if I spelled either one of those correctly). He is 57 years old with no apparent health issues. He went from 148 to 100 lbs. He is very perplexed as we all are. I m watching my brother die and I don t know what else to do. He lives in Atlanta, Ga with his wife. Can someone please help us. Concerned sister.

Hi,

I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but since all physical causes have been excluded then please refer to a psychologist as this could be due to depression.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Salah Saad Shoman,
