The symptoms like difficulty in falling asleep, poor non refreshing sleep, sudden waking up with electric shock sensations, shakiness etc could occur due to anxiety and depression and need proper evaluation. He has been advised to take Nexito which is Escitalopram and is a SSRI drug. The drug is a good anti anxiety and anti depressant drug. Betacap is Propranolol and the drug is a beta blocker drug used to control symptoms of anxiety. In my opinion he is on right medicines and continue to give him medicines as per prescription and this will surely help him to come out of depression and anxiety. Betacap should be used for control of uncontrollable symptoms like shakiness, trembling etc. Consult his doctor if symptoms become worse. Thanks, Hope this helps.
