What Causes Difficulty In Losing Weight Despite Being On Strict Diet?

So I was 152 at the begging of the summer and now I am 174. I do not know why I am gaining so much weight. I went to the doctor two weeks ago and I was 166.8 and I have been walking and cut out soda, bread, fruits etc. and now only eat eggs, cheese, and salads and drink water. Why am I losing so much weight? Also, I have been having bad head aches and under my arm pit there is a brown circle that has been there for a month.

Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, you need to get your blood tests done for checking thyroid status.

Hypothyroidism can cause weight gain that is not easy to shed off. plus get your other blood tests also done like complete blood count and electrolytes like sodium, potassium levels to look for other diseases like Cushing’s syndrome.

Eat healthily and check your blood pressures regularly. The walk will also help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
