What Causes Difficulty In Movement Of Toes And Foot?

My daughter is 19 years old whose right leg from thigh to foot has been larger (thicker) from birth. within the last two weeks she has expressed difficulty bending the toes of the right foot. My thought is to take her to a vascular surgeon to determine the reason for the larger leg and cause for non-bending toes. Is this a good path?

Hello,

Larger than normal limb from birth can be due to atreio-venous malformation (vascular condition). You have rightly mentioned that you need to see a vascular surgeon. Inability to bent toes can also be due to same cause and no other reason can be identified at the moment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
