What Causes Difficulty In Sleeping After Receiving Novocaine Injection?

had a novocaine injection about noon yesterday but unable to sleep tonight. can that be related. also have a ct scan scheduled for today with contrast. Problems with the two being so close together? also had a reaction to contrast several years ago. faint, nearly passed out.

Hi,

That is not likely to be due to the drug which lasts only minutes while in the blood. If it is needed for heart trouble large amounts have to be continually pumped in.
It is not chemically related to contrast.
