What Causes Difficulty In Sleeping In A 68-year-old?

I am a 68 year old woman and have difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep. Since on Medicare I have been told I can no longer take Clonazepam when needed. According to my doctor, many insomnia medications aren t covered by Medicare or Humana. Any suggestions?

Hello,

I suggest you to take melatonin supplements. They are often found otc.

Also keeping a healthy sleep hygiene can help. Don't sleep or take naps during day. Don't stay in sleeping room during day. Have physical activity daily but not before bed. Sleep in a fresh and ventilated room.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
