What Causes Difficulty In Straightening The Left Leg?

When standing I have trouble straightening my left leg after I have been sitting for a while. My right leg hurts a lot to bend when it has been straight for a while. Also my right knee hurts and I feel at times like i have to push it forward to walk.

Hi,

Your symptoms are characteristic of ligamental injury of the knee joint. So better to consult an orthopaedic doctor and get done a clinical examination and MRI of the affected knee joint.

You may need immobilization or arthroscopic surgery if the injury has been detected. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise. Avoid sudden jerky movements of the knee. Avoid excessive sitting or standing.

Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
