What Causes Difficulty In Sustaining An Erection?

I am 31 y.o., 5,7' and 85 kg. I don't have any diagnosed medical issues.
I have had an intense sexual life for the last 7 years. I have had sex about 20 times the last 20 days (we slept together 5-6 nights) with my last girlfriend.
The last three times we made love it was very difficult for me to keep my erection (we had already had sex three times). I managed to have an orgasm, but it wasn't easy to keep my erection while having sex. I also have to stress that the last time I was not able to get off the bed to go to the bathroom, cause I felt dizzy (I even vomited up). Could this be a problem or is it due to tiredness? For a couple of months I do not sleep well, I train a lot and sometimes I feel really exhausted and I have a low diastolic pressure (under 7 mmHg). I do not take any medication.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Dear service user,
Thanks for writing.
I understand your concern.
An occasional episode of erectile failure due to functional or situational reasons like fatigue, tension or own ''pressure to 'perform' rather to enjoy'' is very common. This diminishes arousal level and hence erection too.
Inadequate sleep does affect the sexual performance.
This 'failure' of erection makes one feel 'I should perform best' and he 'tries to erect’. This in turn further leads to lack of erection because the mind gets diverted while sex.
For constant erection, there should be continuous erotic thoughts , feelings of joy of sex. If mind is diverted to focus on erection , you will lose erection.
Just enjoy kindling during sex without bothering about quality of erection. Practice it regularly.
You may have counseling with sex therapist or psychiatrist if the problem persists despite of above practice for next 20 days.
Diastolic pressure cannot be 7 mm of Hg. It must be error. Relax.
I hope this will help you. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please feel free to write to us. I will be happy to answer your questions. Wish you good sexual health ahead.
