What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing After A Stroke?

my brother had tonsil cancer 10 years ago. he had radiation with a lot of complications resulting. Two years ago he suffered a brain stem stroke. in the last two months, he has had difficulty swallowing and Monday he is having stomach tube but in. He has lost a lot of weight.

Hi,

Brainstem stroke is the cause of swallowing difficulty. It is the neurological deficit. Usually, deficit recovers up to some extent in a few patients.
