What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing And Cold Feeling In Throat?

For the past 3 days, I've been having difficulty swallowing because it feels like there's a ton of mucus in my throat. I don't actually think there is though. It's gotten a little bit better but now the back of my throat feels very cold. The swallowing trouble has happened before and I don't know what's causing it.

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Here as preliminary work up you only have to get your posterior pharynx examination by nearby doc....

Mostly pharyngitis , post nasal drip or tonsilitis will be there. ...

Salt water garles done...
Steam inhalation to relieve congestion .
Also take cetrizine to relieve inflammation..
Take suitable antibiotic if needed like ciprofloxacin.....

Avoid excess spicy foods for few days...

Take one tsp ginger juice with honey daily...

Take strepsil like lozenges for sore throat relief..

If still no benifit than neck examination, auscultation , nervous system examination , x ray needed and for that consultation to otorhinolaryngologist done ..

Take care
