What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing And Husky Voice?

I recently held in a sneeze (trying to be polite) and it immediately felt as if I had torn something in my throat.
It hurts in general, and it's very painful to swallow. My voice has started to become a little bit husky.
It hs been a few days. Should I wait a bit longer to see if it improves before getting checked out?
Felling around my throat there is no swelling and it isn't painful to press anywhere.
