What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing Food Post Severe Dehydration?

Sometimes when eating, well chewed food can become stuck in my esphogasis. Sometimes swallowing hard yntil it hurts forces food down but all too often it comes back up. After bringing it up, I am able to resume eating with normal results. About a month ago I was ill with Noro virus resulting in severe dehydration and DKA. I am type II. However, before going toxic, I vomited one night about 10 times - hard. Swallowing anything since has wide ranging difficulties. Do I need to be scoped?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
I think repeated vomiting may have caused dysfunctioning of upper esophageal sphincter causing dysphagia. A clinical examination by a general surgeon in required to decide about need of scopy. I advice a liquid and soft diet.
