Esophagitis or other lesion cause difficulty in swallowing. Laryngoscopy examination is helpful for diagnosis. Manometry to check the pressure in the esophagus during swallowing.
A barium swallow can be done if needed. Start a treatment according to the cause. Detail history and investigation give an exact idea about problems. Consult a physician for further diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
