What Causes Difficulty In Walking, Memory Loss, Fatigue And Confusion?

I have been having problems walking, memory loss, fatigue and confusion. I had an MRI done because I have family members with MS. My test results came back that I have a few scattered punctate foci of T2/FLAIR hyperintense signal in the subcortical white matter that my DR. said was nonspecific. I also have extremely low B12 levels. He did not state I have MS. Should I get a second opinion?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

These symptoms are secondary to vitamin B 12 deficiency. Get your consultation done and doctor will prescribe your Vit B injection and supplements. Meanwhile you can take vegetables along with meat to improve B12 naturally. If still low then you need to get your workup done for pernicious anemia.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
