What Causes Difficulty In Walking With Severe Fatigue?

Hi. My legs between my hips and knees are very weak especially in the right side. They collapse sometimes. They constantly feel as if iv been running down a hill. I feel like a baby sometimes walking with my legs stretched straight as it feels easier to walk. Its been like this for four months. I have three damaged discs in my neck, not sure if this has anything to do with it. My right arm wrist and shoulder has been aching more recently also. My doctor does not know whats wrong. I used to drink alot of alcohol but cut right down four months ago. My legs between my knees and feet are fine though. I cant walk straight or balanced. Can you tell me what could be the problem?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As there is history of long term alcohol consumption and difficulty in walking with severe fatigue, most possible cause can be an avascular necrosis of head of the femur. I would recommend an MRI of the hip joint for best possible evaluation in this regard to find out the underlying cause and manage in accordance to that only.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
