What Causes Difficulty While Walking In An Elderly Person?
92 year old mother in law, with a previous clot in left leg, 2 years ago, with a Greenfield filter. Has been difficulty walking for the last week, just noticed some firmness in upper thigh of left leg. She never complains, but I can see is in some discomfort at times.
Usual causes of difficulty while walking at 92 years are
- arthritis - calcium deficiency
- circulatory issues in form of atherosclerosis
- low hemoglobin or other vitamin deficiency.
Has to be evaluated clinically to find out the cause and manage accordingly.
