Good Day and thank you for being with Healthcare Magic!

It is quite normal for pregnant women to have dilation in the kidney (what we call hydronephrosis). This is caused by hormonal effects and changes during pregnancy and the compression of the gravid uterus to the ureters (the tubes that connects the kidney to the bladder). Since you are nearing term, You can observe the condition and repeat ultrasound 6 weeks after giving birth.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://www.HealthcareMagic.com/doctors/dr-manuel-c-see-iv/66014 I would gladly help you. Best wishes.
