What Causes Diminished Energy Level In Everyday Chores?

I was taking sleeping pills for about 7 years or more and then suddenly I am able to fall asleep without them. My energy level is usually very high, can t sit still but lately that has diminished greatly. Doing everyday chores seem to require much more effort. Any ideas as to why all of this would be starting?

You might have developed an underactive thyroid. This can cause fatigue, excessive sleepiness, lack of energy, and weight gain. Anemia can also cause a decrease in energy. It is also possible that you are having withdrawal symptoms from the sleeping pills you took for so long. I recommend you check with your doctor and get blood tests to see how your thyroid and other organs are functioning. Hope this answers your query. If you have further questions, I would be happy to answer them.
