Then yesterday while having sex it returned, yet not as severe as the first time. I made a dr. apt however am still wondering what this could be? Thanks, Cindy

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. In the current scenario, the possibilities are- vaginal or cervical infection, erosion of the cervix, polyps of the cervix/endometrium and cysts of the ovary. Urinary tract infection is another cause that should be excluded. I would ask you to see a specialist as planned for a proper clinical evaluation. You need a swab, pap smear and a sonogram of the pelvis. Further management can be planned accordingly. Please do not douche or use strong soap solutions or tampons. Abstain from further intercourse until healed well. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
