What Causes Discoloration And Burning Sensation Above Ankle?

I m experiencing a burning sensation above my ankle area and I am noticing the area to be discolored (like a bruise)however, I did not have any injury to the area? can this be a blod clot? I had cold laser therapy to my knee area a few days ago...could this be related? thank you

Hi.
As per your case history you are having pigmented purpuric dermatosis.
My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid standing for long periods of time and keep pillows below legs while sleeping.
2. Apply a calcium dobisilate cream like Osil cream twice a day.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months.
4. Other treatment options are oral calcium dobisilate, multivitamins taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
