What Causes Discoloration Of Skin On Nose Bridge?

I am African-American women in my early 50 s. I have a dark complexion. I have noticed within the last year a lightening/ discoloration of the skin on the bridge of my nose and I think my bridge is looking more pronounced. Is it growing or swelling? It looks and feels like a bone. It looks very unattractive. What happening and what can I do? Thank you
