I I have petechia on the legs below the knee. Now I noticed on the calf (calve ? ) - the backside of one leg - a slight reddisch coloration and very slight swelling. I remotely remember of having felt some pain in this area a few days ago, but could not remember whether I had inujured myself (bumbed into the area slightly). Up till now I have worn medium compression stockings, which I will not put on until this is identified. Now I plan to consult a specialist to get a prognosis and recommendations for future treatment . I am 82, have CLL Stage 0 stable since diagnosis 2006, I had CBC in May 2016, platelets were 225 and always have remained in the 180 -240 range. The hematologist said RBC are normal, Lymp always in 7000 range. My next hematologist visit is in November . I have no other major medical conditions and only take one RX Levothyroid for Hypothyroidism. Unless current petechia issue described on the calve (back of lower leg) turns more pronounced and does not clear up after resting leg laying in bed and some icing, I WANT TO VISIT A SPECIALIST FOR A LONG RANGE TREATMENT PLAN, WHAT TYPE OF SPECIALIST SHOULD I CONSULT FOR PETERCHIAE ?
