What Causes Discoloration On The Penis?

My boyfriend went to see his primary dr. She was examining him and noticed a portion of his penis to be discolored. She recommended him to go see a urologist. Also she asked him if he had a girlfriend and if we have had unprotected sex. Also asked him if he possibly knew if I had (he couldn t remember the word) because it could be from that. He replied by saying no because she sees her gyno regularly and is very clean down there. What could she be insinuating? That I have an std and I am the cause of his penis discoloration?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

There can be a number of issues possible for discoloration of part of the penis as sexually transmitted infections such as herpes or else fungal non-std infections rare cases of vitiligo or other skin pigment disorders.

It would be best worthy to examine him clinically or at least evaluate a photo picture of the penis for the type of discoloration and comment regarding your role in his disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
