What Causes Discolouration Of My Toe?

My second toe on my right foot has been red for the last month. I work most days and I was wondering if the shoes I use are creating a hot environment that s affecting this toe. And if so, why only that toe? Also, it s super itchy (but it hurts when I itch it) and hot to the touch. But there s no swelling that I ve noticed. I ve tried anti-itch creams and they worked once, but now they re not and I m not sure what to do. I talked to a doctor about it and showed him and he told me to soak my feet in vinegar to get rid of dead skin. The results are I have super smooth toes but it had no affect on the second toe. Help. :$

Cosmetic & Plastic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I think it could be cellulitis. Take antibiotics orally. And rule out diabetic by blood investigation and osteomyelitis of the bone by x-ray foot.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
