What Causes Discomfort And Tingling Sensation In The Arms?

Hi I am experiencing discomfort and some tingling down both arms , the feeling of being short of breath, very rapid heartbeat and an occasional feeling of like a bubble or hiccup going through my chest ? I do have a history of a-fib should I wait and see if it settles down or get to the hospital?

Hi,

Palpitation are common and are mostly not caused by serious problem. However feeling of racing heart along with shortness of brethren in some one who have history of Afib should be dealt in on emergency basis.

So, yes you should urgently to to ER for management. Though the feeling of tingling in body along with heart racing , and feeling of something stuck in throat is also a typical presentation of anxiety causing panic attacks, but your history of Afib is very concerning and you should not ignore it and urgently go to ER.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
