What Causes Discomfort And Tingling Sensation In The Tongue?

Hi , my daughter continues to have this ulcer or swelling and extreme discomfort in her tongue . Starting with a tingling in lips mouth and tongue . She has taken anti fungal for it but it is more frequent in occur ancestors. Not sure if it candida or thrush or some other thing . It is more worrying each time as it also seems worse . Any Idea ?
She is considering to see a infectious diseases medical next week as anot her opinion as well .

Well, as per your explanation it is not looking like thrush,as thrush represent itself as thick white coating on tongue..
However it can be due to inflammation and ulceration of tongue causing recurring ulcer and discomfort with swelling..
So my suggestion is to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
A tongue swab culture can be done for ruling out any infection..
For now she can start gargling with specialised mouthwash like Magic mouthwash as it can a number of ingredients like numbing agents, antiseptic and antifungal medication, steroid etc..
She can start taking lysine and Vitamin B complex supplement..
Take anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
Gargles with cool water and sucking ice pops can help..
Avoid spicy foods and drink plenty of water..
