What Causes Discomfort Around Left Rib Cage After A Fall?

Hello, 2 years ago I fell down the stairs and doe 1 month I had great difficulty breathing. I concluded I had bruised lungs . At that time I also had a discomfort under my left front ribcage. My lungs are fine but this below the rib cage issue persists. It feels as if my organ is pushing at my rib cage. It is more a discomfort then a pain. Having said that, when I press, where this feeling of pushing is, I feel an acute but very tolerable pain. Am I dealing with my spleen? I have no blood pressure issue. Is this a case of enlarged spleen? Thanks for any info possible. Hilda

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to HCM
This symptom is due to swelling in the anterior chest wall and below the rib due to trauma.
Dont worry take nome NSAID AND ERATIOPEPTIDASE AND TRYPSIN COMBINATION for early relief.
Do a chest x ray to rule out other causes .
Also consult your physician.
Hope this is helpful.
Regards.
