What Causes Discomfort Around The Left Side Of The Waist Line?

When I lay down on my left side I feel like there is something there around the waistline, rib cage, it's gotten to the point where I cannot lay on my left side at all. I recently had an umbillical hernia repair, I have had a bile duct injury repair, I'm all bloating, pain, discomfort. I am 54 yr old female weigh around 305
