What Causes Discomfort Feeling In Left Side Chest Area?

Hello. For the last few weeks I am experiencing left chest discomfort. I wouldn t describe it as a pain more as a sensitivity. Most of the time it feels like I am sensitive to the clothes I am wearing. The location is mostly near my left breast and further to the left. Sometimes i also feel pain in my left upper back and on the joint between my arm and my chest. It s not stopping me from doing my job but it s somehow always there. Some days it s nearly gone and some days it more intensive. It isn t more painful with exercise i would go as far to say that exercise makes it disappear. I am 25 years old, weight of 85kg(188lbs).

Hello,
Left sided chest pain/ heaviness associated with involvement of left upper back mostly an angina pain due to coronary artery disease/ ischemic heart disease, but can occur in cases like myocardial infarction, myocarditis/ pericarditis, aortic dissection and conditions related to lungs like pleurisy, pulmonary hypertension, pneumonia etc. You should go through some investigations like ECG, Echocardiography, Blood test for cardiac specific enzyme, coronary angiography. Consult a cardiologist for evaluation. Take rest and avoid stress/ exertion, avoid smoking/ alcoholism.
