Hi. I have had issues for the past two months or so with the feeling of something being stuck in my throw, like phlegm or something and I have to spit constantly and sometimes there are black spots in my spit. I do have allergies really bad, as I m allergic to just about everything in the Midwest... But its gotten worse over the last couple months. What could this indicate?
Throat discomfort might be due to infections, tonsillitis, allergy. I suggest you to take: 1. T. Clarithromycin 500mg for 5 days after food 2. T.Montelukast 10mg for 15 days after food 3. Sputum culture and complete blood count to rule out the diagnosis 4.cIf symptoms persist, kindly consult your ENT surgeon
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Indhu Priyadharshini, General & Family Physician
