Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Discomfort In Deep Breathing After Catheter Ablation?
I just had a catheter ablation yesterday (30 hours ago) for AFIB under GA and within 12 hours developed severe chest pain when trying to breathe deeply. Also cannot find a comfortable sleeping position. Is this a reaction to the anaesthetic and if so how long will it take go away. It is agony to breathe properly.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern and looking to given history here I could say that your symptom of chest pain and difficulty in breathing may be due to the anesthesia and procedure it self and this may come around within a day or two, if the symptoms persists then you need to talk to doctor, hope this information helps you, have a nice day.
