Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am not sure how to describe what I am feeling but at times I feel like something gets in between my left side rib and is very discomforting. This has been happening for awhile now. Sometimes, if I bend over too quickly or wrong I feel like something is lodged. At times, I describe it like when you are pregnant and the baby moves around and gets a little foot lodged in the rib. This only happens on my left rib or ribs, at times when it happens it is very difficult to stand straight or correct myself due to the discomfort. Any suggestions? thank you!
These could be normal peristaltic movements of the intestines that may be causing you discomfort as it may also happen with indigestion and you feel gaseous like ball causing discomfort. Try to take gaviscon and good walk after meals if this problem still persists then get ultrasound of the abdomen done to look for the cause.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
