Hello,
As per my clinical experience, the pain and discomfort involving lower abdomen with
frequent urination and pressure do suggest possible gravels or calculus in the
urinary system as ureter or kidney. The lower back pain radiating to front is
referred pain, which many of the times do show up to scrotum or vulva discomfort.
So far as the management guidelines are concerned, the best initial approach for the diagnosis is consisting of:
- Urine microscopy with culture report
- Total white cell counts
- Fasting blood sugar
-
Ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis
Guidelines for better control:
- Plenty of liquids
- Cranberry sachets or pills
- High intake of citrus fruits with vitamin C
-
Potassium citrate liquid as urinary alkaliser
- Control of urine infection as per the culture report
- Control of blood sugar
- Root cause management of possible calculus after ultrasound report
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
