What Causes Discomfort In The Back, Shoulder And Ribcage With Unproductive Cough?

Hello, I am having moderate discomfort in the upper left back area from the shoulder blade area down to the bottom of my rib cage. I have had an unproductive cough for over a week and the pain feels like it is more widespread today than a few days ago. I do feel pressure there as well when I take a deep breath. Several people around me have been diagnosed with walking pneumonia lately and I am wondering if I should get a chest x-ray.

Yes a chest xray might be helpful.
Look out for signs of fever, evening rise of temperature, dificulty in breathing as such and follow up if they are present.
Deep breathing exercises may help.
Take care
