Thank you.
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Chest pain due to heart problem is mostly pressure or loading pain behind chest bone (sternum), left shoulder, neck or back associated with breathlessness, sweating & low blood pressure... Your description does not specify any of these... it's better to confirm it from a heart specialist.
The pain you have can be lung tissue infection/boney weakness of ribs (due to calcium & vitamin deficiency. Please continue with medicines advised for asthma (except for as the line type of drugs... take tablet Deriphyllin instead). Take over the counter vitamin D (calcirol granules) with a glass of milk every 10 days.
Consult cardiologist physician/chest physician earliest for examination, investigation & specific treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale,
General & Family Physician
