What Causes Discomfort In The Groin Area?

I had a hernia repair 16 months ago. Since then I've had re occuring discomfort in my groin area below where the hernia was, and I've also had bloody ejaculate at the same time.

Is it possible that the sergeon who did the hernia operation got the mesh they use too close to an area that would contain the ejaculate? How concerned should I be about this condition? I thought it would go away with time but it's been 16 months.
