What Causes Discomfort In The Hand After A Fall?

I broke my fifth metatarsal in my dominant hand following a fall. It broke near the wrist. The hospital missed it on the first xray, but on a call back they re xrayed and luckily not displaced. However was never cast and 5wks on it is still causing me low level discomfort. There is some small movement in area of the hand when it is manipulated. Is that normal. Doesn't happen in the other hand. Doesn't hurt though
