What Causes Discomfort In The Left Shoulder When I Drink Cold Fluids?
When I drink something cold, like ice water, It feels like it goes down my left shoulder. It happens a lot when I do it too. Itll start off on the side of my neck, of course I don t feel anything on the outside but more of a in my vein type feeling, down my left arm. Is this normal? Should I see a doctor for it? Will I live to see tomorrow?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
There is no connection between food pipe and shoulder. But when you drink cold liquid it may stimulate the nerve ending present around the food pipe. The pain you are having in the shoulder is due to referred pain. So you do not need to worry. If you have acidity, then you can start taking an Pantoprazole or Omeprazole.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
