What Causes Discomfort In The Lower Jaw After Tooth Extraction?

Had tooth removed about two years ago and since then I noticed a nerve at my lower jaw start with discomfort. I massaged a crackling sound at the bottom of my lower jaw and now that discomfort has spread to my cheek and part of my head. What type of physician do I need to see? Dentist?

Hi...

Welcome to healthcare magic.

After extraction of tooth you might damage a nerve that lead to irritable and discomfort over that area..
Any bony facture may lead to pain and discomfort also..
Do a OPG for further diagnosis..
Consult your dentist again for further diagnosis..
If any bony facture is present that can detected in OPG...
Physical examination and history give exact idea about problems...

Take care.
Thank you.
