What Causes Discomfort In The Pharynx While Suffering From GERD?

I ve been diagnosed with GERDS. Lately, I ve had a lot of bubbling in my pharynx. It actually makes a sound one can hear if I open my mouth. This occurs at night, in bed. I tried to sit up, as much as possible. It s only relieved now by being up. Yes, I consume all of the triggers, But this bubbling wasn t there at the time I was diagnosed. I am assuming it is related. What are your thoughts?

Hello,

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a medical complication where you have regurgitation of acid to the pharynx, because of that the acid causes the chemical burn to the upper esophagus as well as pharynx. You need to take medication after consulting your doctor. Till then you can take pantoprazole empty stomach once a day. Also, raise the head side of your bed little. Avoid late night foods, drinks, and smoking.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
