What Causes Discomfort In The Throat After Taking Tecta?

I am taking tecta and have been at night for a few months,Recently i have the sensation that something is lodged in the back of my throat.I also get a lot of tonsil stones and at first thought those were what i was feeling but i cannot see anything in my throat.

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, usually tecta aren't associated with any of such side effects like throat irritation rather it's used to treat GERD which causes such irritation.

However, local allergic reaction or angioedema may be ruled out which can again be triggered by even any substance if person is hypersensitive to it.

I suggest you to have an otolaryngologist review to look deep in the throat to look for any local pathology as well as any signs of local allergic inflammation.

Meanwhile skipping the drug to see whether symptoms improve or not may be helpful.
