What Causes Discomfort In The Upper Abdomen After Having Food?
My husband is having some discomfort in his upper left abdomen after he eats but is having a bowel movement daily although it is not bulky stool but more narrow and squiggly. We eat whole grain breads that i make from whole wheat that I grind so I don't think fiber wold be the problem?
As per your complain you have problem of discomfort in abdominal area and loose stool that may be because of infection or food intolerance problem or other reasons. If you have problem of change a consistency of stool and abdominal bloating problem more than three months then think about irritable bowel syndrome.
Mention which type of abdominal problems you have as that will be helpful in diagnosis. Intestinal infection of giardia cause thin stool problem. Stool sample test is helpful to detect any infection present or not. Abdominal barium x-ray can done if needed. Consult a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis.
I hope my guidance helpful to you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Rachana Goswami
