What Causes Discomfort In Throat And Tightness In Chest?

Yes I had a weird sensation in the back of my throat, tightness in my chest and also hard to breathe, I took my inhaler as I am asthmatic but I have never had a problem like this? It lasted for about 10 minutes . I took 3 puffs of my inhaler. I felt weak, no numbness in arms, just my throat felt very weird. back of it where tongue connects.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
The symptoms you present could be caused by an upper respiratory infection like sore throat, allergy, respiratory passage irritation by an environmental irritant.I will advise
-You continue with your inhaler especially when you feel breathless
-Add an anti-histamin like premalan
-Take enough fluids and frequently
-Gargle with warm salt water many times per day
-Avoid irritants like dust, smoke and cold
If the symptom persist, you see the Doctor to examine your throat.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
