What Causes Discomfort Under The Ear?

There is something wrong with the left side of my face near my ear. It feels like blood draining under the skin at the front of my ear on my cheek. It is also feeling strange up to my temple and inside my ear. It is a very wierd feeling, like tingling. It started gradually and now is almost constant.

It may be due to parasthesia or middle ear infection or fifth cranial nerve problems etc.
