Hello, I can understand your concern. Pain during swallowing can be as simple as inflamed/infected tonsils or allergic reaction or as severe as presence of tumor as suggested by you. It is very difficult to pinpoint any diagnosis based on just one symptom. I can ask you a few questions that can lead to some indication of problem. Do you have fever or pain while pressed around throat from outside? If yes, then there are chances that you have had an infection in the area. Do you feel any lump in the throat area? If yes, then chances are that you may have presence of tumor. In any case, I would advise you to visit an ENT specialist for physical examination of the area and investigations to reach a diagnosis and start treatment.
