What Causes Disorientation And Confusion After Seizure?

I go to a neurologist who isnt a seizure specialist so I am not getting the best care and the best answers to my questions.I have been having this illness since I was 9 months old.i am now 54 ..After a seizure,and this is new, i get real confused to the point that I dont even know exactly where I am or who I am living with.I am aware at this point but so confused that its a little scarey.To know who I talked to last,I will look on my phone log .its weird because this is new.what is this all about
