What Causes Disorientation Of Hands And Legs Long After Suffering From Polio?

Patient (~70, male) presenting with disorientation and hallucinations but knows family members. Hands are curled under and seized. Legs are curled, seized and locked at the knees. Has experienced recent prolonged issues with C. diff. but resolved. (Fecal implant) Past polio infection, history of alcoholism but sober for several years. Non smoker.

* As per my clinical experience, the disorientation of hands and legs do indicate damage to lateral spinothalamic tract and corticospinal tracts controlling the co ordinated movements with sensory pathway.

* However, a detailed physical examination with sensory and motor evaluation, peripheral reflexes are mandatory to make this diagnosis which is exclusively clinical.
