There are different phases in the growth cycle of our body specially the growth spurt is very unique. In this period of two years mostly 16-19 years of age in males, the body grows at a brisk pace and in this phase the body symmetry can be unpredictable. Many people get really skinny during this phase ..many may get sudden weight gain . some may get real tall some may not change much, some may feel there is a disturbed symmetry like you felt about your head. Head usually grows when the growth of body stops, or in simple words when you stop getting tall with that super speed then head starts to get heavy , this is the time when body also starts to recover some weight. It is also an established fact that when growth plates have met and one is not growing much any more the growth hormone makes head and fingers a bit larger even without acromegaly which is extreme excess of growth hormones.
