Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Earlier today I had something odd happen with my vision. On the left side of my vision I was seeing a distorted (like a beveled mirror) zig zag that went from top and curved down left side. I closed each eye to see which eye was doing it and they both did. The zig zag pattern was very defined at first but became more distorted ro where the pattern was very faint, then it went away. The whole thing lasted about 10-12 minutes. The rest of my vision was normal and no other symptoms occured. Is this domething I should worry about?
If symptoms persist, better to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI brain to rule out possible intracranial (inside the brain) causes. An ophthalmological evaluation is also necessary.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
